Scientifically Proven to Help You Breathe & Live Better.

"Given the high frequency of incorrect breathing patterns in the adult population, attention to the symptoms of hyperventilation [overbreathing] should be a routine part of every psychological evaluation. Diagnosis of hyperventilatory [overbreathing] conditions is crucial.”

What is Hypocapnia?

And more importantly, what is BEHAVIORAL HYPOCAPNIA - simply, the result of learned overbreathing behavior.

Behavioral hypocapnia is the result of OVERBREATHING BEHAVIOR, “over” breathing because excessive CO2 is excreted, resulting in excessively high levels of pH .

When overbreathing (1) is a consequence of learned dysfunctional breathing mechanics (e.g., self-help protocols), OR (2) is reinforced directly with powerful reinforcements (e.g., dissociation), hypocapnia is behavioral, and hence the term behavioral hypocapnia.

Behavioral hypocapnia (respiratory alkalosis,) may have profound immediate and long-term effects that may trigger, exacerbate, perpetuate, and/or cause a wide variety of symptoms that may seriously impact health and performance.

The CapnoTrainer® Go

The CapnoTrainer® GO brings together physiology, psychology, and technology

Real breathing Science  People everywhere use breathing techniques for meeting personal and professional objectives, but are rarely informed as to the fundamentals of breathing physiology and psychology. The consequence is misguided breathing practices, misinformed practitioners and a prevailing popular pseudoscience. It is a disturbing state of affairs.

"Strategies to increase your CO2 are probably one of the best things you can do to optimize your health."

“I did not appreciate the prevalence of dysfunctional breathing habits that are typically developed as some type of trauma, emotional trauma typically. It gets embedded in your brain circuits, and when you encounter this trigger, it activates them and it lowers your CO2 (carbon dioxide) level. You may have been getting a hint over the last few weeks or months that I really value CO2. It’s probably one of the most important molecules in your body."

“Wearable capnography might be the single most significant revolution in optimizing physiological and psychological performance and resilience."

"For your own optimization and wellbeing, or to enable them in those you serve and support as a counselor, therapist, researcher, psychologist, physician, nurse, coach, trainer, chaplain, or non-healthcare professional, the CapnoTrainer Go is the best investment your funding you could make.”
